Your 2024 Medicare Annual Notice of Change
What you Need to Know:
- If you are enrolled in either a Medicare Advantage of Prescription Drug Plan in Boynton Beach, the company will have mailed you its plan’s Annual Notice of Change in September.
- The document will show you if there will be changes to your plan’s costs and benefits in 2024.
- Also, there will be a Summary of the plan’s costs for 2023 and 2024. That way, you can compare the benefits, costs and rules.
- It’s important to determine how any changes would affect you.
- If you are enrolled in a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan in Boynton Beach, you won’t receive an Annual Notice of Change.
Why Do the Plans Mail this Notice Annually?
- Medicare changes it’s Part A and B deductibles, copays and coinsurance every year.
- As a result, your Medicare Advantage or Prescrption Drug plan costs will change.
- Use this notice to decide if you should change your plan during the upcoming Annual Enrollment Period.
- The Annual Enrollment Period is from October 15-December 7, 2023.
What Medicare Advantage Enrollees Should Check?
- If you are a Medicare Advantage Plan enrollee in Boynton Beach:
- Will all your network providers still be in network?
- Is the plan’s Annual Maximum out-of-pocket going up or down?
For Enrollees in Both Plans, Check your Drug Costs:
- Are all your medications still in your plan’s drug list?
- Will their costs change?
- How about the Annual Drug Deductible? Will it increase or decrease or now apply to lower drug tiers?
When Do Plan Changes Take Place?
- Plan changes take place after the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) on January 1, 2024.
- If you are unhappy with your Boynton Beach Medicare plan’s changes, you can change your plan during the upcoming Annual Enrollment Period.
- The Annual Enrollment Period is from October 15-December 7, 2023.
